2026 SQUIRT TRYOUTS
Practice Jerseys:
Players should bring their Cyclones Practice Jersey to ALL tryouts. If you purchased one with registration, you will receive it when you check in on the first day.
Check-In:
When you arrive, players should:
- Check in at the check-in desk.
- Confirm their practice jersey number.
- Receive their assigned jersey color.
First Tryout – Sunday, 08/16/2026
- Last Names A–K: 11:50 AM
- Last Names L–Z: 1:00 PM
After Each Tryout:
After the first tryout, some players may receive an email letting them know they do not need to attend the remaining tryouts.
The same process will happen after the second tryout. Players who do not need to attend the final tryout will be notified by email.
If a player is asked not to attend a particular tryout, it is simply so coaches have more time to evaluate the remaining players.
This process allows coaches to give all skaters a fair and thorough evaluation.
Locker Room Information:
Parents and family members are not allowed in the locker rooms. Only SafeSport-certified individuals are permitted in the locker rooms.
Players should get themselves dressed as much as possible. If your player needs assistance getting dressed or needs help with anything, they will need to come out of the locker room to find you.
We appreciate everyone's cooperation with this policy and ask that you please remind your player to come out to you if they need assistance.
Anticipated Team Practice Start Date:
We anticipate team practices will begin around Tuesday, 09/01/2026. This date is subject to change. The complete practice schedule will be posted and sent out once all teams have been finalized.
Team Selection:
All families will receive an official Crossbar email by Sunday, 08/23 with their team selection and instructions to accept the position on the team within 24 hours.
Reminder: Tryouts are Closed
Parents and family members are not allowed to watch tryouts. This helps players feel relaxed, comfortable, and focused during the evaluation process.
