FRANK BISCEGLIE
Hockey Director
Coach Frank is the hockey director the Cyclones Amateur Hockey Association(CAHA). Prior to the Cyclones, Coach Frank was with the Chicago Young Americans(CYA), where he achieved remarkable success, reaching the USA Hockey National Championships an impressive seven times. His coaching prowess has garnered Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals, contributing to the development and success of numerous players who have gone on to excel as NCAA student-athletes.
With a coaching background spanning every level from Mite A2 to AAA U19, Coach Frank is a USA Hockey Level 5 Master Coach. His dedication to Illinois hockey is evident in his lifelong commitment to serving both CYA and AHAI, both on and off the ice. Additionally, he has played a crucial role at the Central District level, contributing as a player development coach for USA Hockey.
Coach Frank reflects on his coaching journey, stating, "Being part of winning a National Championship is something I will always be proud of. It is just as rewarding to have the opportunity to mentor young players and help them achieve their dreams. Most importantly though, I want to teach them to love the game."
Brian Seery
Director of Player Development
Coach Seery was born in Chicago, Illinois and played his youth hockey career in the area. Brian went on to play hockey for DuPage College and then played in the USHL for the Dubuque Fighting Saints; prior to starting his coaching career.
Brian has been coaching AAA for over 15 years and has been to 3 national championships. Brian’s teams have won numerous state and regional championships, with over 12 years of experience at AA level. Coach Seery served as a Hockey Director at the Chicago Bruins Hockey club for the past 4 years.
Anthony Petrak
GOALTENDING DIRECTOR
Anthony Petrak is a seasoned coach with a background in both playing and coaching across various levels of hockey, who has been with the Cyclones since 2024-25. A native of Joliet, IL, Petrak has dedicated his career to the advancement of goaltenders. Anthony is Founder and Owner of Edge Goaltending.
Petrak's journey between the pipes began in his youth, culminating in a standout tenure at Robert Morris University. As a pivotal member of the team, he backstopped the squad to a Central States Collegiate Hockey League regular season championship, a playoff championship, and an appearance in the ACHA National Championship Game.
His exceptional performance earned him spots on the Central States All-Star Team and recognition as the First Team All-Tournament goalie at the National Championships. Petrak has amassed over a decade of coaching experience and has been instrumental in developing goaltenders through esteemed programs such as the Mitch Korn Goalie School, and Bandits Goalie School.
Petrak's dedication to the sport extends to his role for USA Hockey, where he aids in nurturing a passion for goaltending and identifying talent poised for higher levels of play. His holistic approach to development creates an environment where goaltenders not only enhance their technical skills but also cultivate the confidence and mental fortitude essential for success. Through his unwavering commitment and comprehensive coaching philosophy, Anthony Petrak is shaping the next generation of Cyclones goaltenders, instilling in them the values of hard work, resilience, and a deep love for the game.
