Northern Illinois Hockey League is a sanctioned affiliate of USA Hockey and AHAI. This organization strives for the highest standards of sportsmanship in ice hockey for TRAVEL players in Northern Illinois. The league is comprised of over 250 Mite through Midget level travel teams. The purpose of NIHL is to operate a highly competitive All-Star league in the geographic area of Northern Illinois and to encourage a continuing drive for the highest standards of excellence and sportsmanship in hockey play among member teams. NIHL operates under the auspices of USA Hockey and AHAI and of any other organization by which NIHL may elect to be governed.
