It’s hard to believe that nearly a year has gone by since I arrived at the Cyclones. I have met hundreds of wonderful families over the past twelve months. Our club has gone thru a tremendous transition since I have arrived. The dozens of new Coaches, scores of new Board Members, and abundance of new players now equal one big Cyclones Family. Like with any family there is heartache and happiness, struggles and triumphs. A year ago there was much speculation about the future of our club, now there is only anticipation and excitement regarding our future. On the ice we have enjoyed one of the most successful seasons in club history with several new Champions. Our foundation is stronger than ever with our younger levels proving to be the building blocks that any great organization is made of. Off the ice we have bonded as only families can. We have shared in Cyclones Family Day, Future Cyclones Day, Town Hall Meetings, Tournament Hosts, and much more. It takes hard work and dedication to build a great hockey club. A great hockey club is not just measured by the successes on the ice; but, how we conduct ourselves off the ice. Our children are learning to respect the game of hockey. A direct benefit of that is the fact that they are learning to respect much more then the game. I am excited about the future of our program. We have the best group of coaches in Illinois hockey, and an administration that has listened to the voice of our membership. We have all worked very hard to change the culture within the Cyclones. A change that has our membership asking themselves: "Why would I go anywhere elsezzzz?" My hope is that with all the effort put forth by so many people, this is how you feel. As far as we have come, we still have that much farther to go. I look forward to the journey ahead as well as the challenges and triumphs it presents.
